Spring Transitional Wardrobe Staples
After what feels like the gloomiest and dampest winter ever, we have finally made it to spring. I don’t know it’s just me, but I’m defrosting and can’t wait to do all the fun outdoorsy stuff that brings me joy! Naturally, this shift has caused me to take a long hard look at my wardrobe and I've identified a few holes but also some staples I’ve invested in recently and thought I’d share.
Coats and Jackets
As unpredictable as the British weather is - in any season, a good jacket is always needed (along with an umbrella), I recently invested in these two and have to share them with you!
I love Jigsaw, everyone knows this. I saw this jacket on their email a few weeks ago and tried it on when passing their Westbourne Grove store.
The quality, the cut?! I really was really torn between this and their cool suede fringed jacket, but knew I’d wear the hell out of this for years to come. Great investment piece.
This H&M number is giving Burberry, my assistant actually thought I’d treated myself (I wish) - I stumbled across it in the Regent Street store and was stunned by the heavy weight fabric and strong silhouette.
I sized up to L for a more “fashion”-y look, if you order this online you’re going to be pleasantly surprised by the quality for under £100.
Dress her up, dress her down, wear her as a dress, wear her as a coat. What can this Frankie Shop blazer not do?!
She’s an investment but after 18 months with mine, I can say she’s worth every dime and completely replaced all my high street ones, the shape is unmatched.
Bottoms
Blue Jean and Black Jeans - I think I’ve been living under a rock to be honest, Abercrombie jeans are absolutely incredible. Maybe I was traumatized from my teen experience in their stores?! I don't know, but I can say the brand has come a long way since and the quality of their jeans are up there with some of the best I’ve tried - remind me to tell you about the time I tried on about 12 pairs in Harrods changing room and wanted to curl up in a ball. Anyway, these are great and true to size. Get em.
Tops
There’s a few essentials in my current rotation, starting with a striped tee obviously I’m in my nautical era! Honestly the best linen clothing I own I got in Bali, but this white linen shirt is close second; quality is amazing and it washes so well.
Let me know if you’d like to see my spring/summer wardrobe wishlist next, I’ve made an asana tab which seems to be growing by the day…
